Data stored on your device
StylePort stores the styles you import or create, their settings, and extension preferences in Safari’s extension storage on your Mac. This information stays on your device unless you choose to export a backup or otherwise share it.
Removing styles deletes them from StylePort. Removing the app and its extension causes macOS and Safari to control deletion of the remaining local app data.
Website access
Safari website access is required so StylePort can determine which user-selected styles match a page and apply their compiled CSS. StylePort does not use this access to build or transmit browsing history.
You control website access in Safari Settings and can restrict or revoke it at any time. Revoking access prevents StylePort from styling those websites.
Network requests you initiate
StylePort can retrieve a style when you provide its URL and can check an installed style’s update URL when you request or enable updates. Those requests go to the host named by the style or URL. That host may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and user agent under its own privacy policy.
The Safari release does not inject marketplace installation hooks and does not provide cloud synchronization.
Optional in-app tips
The App Store and TestFlight editions offer optional, one-time tips through Apple’s In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat. Tips do not unlock features and are not subscriptions. Every StylePort feature remains free.
RevenueCat is initialized only when you open the native tip jar, not during ordinary styling. It processes an anonymous app user identifier, purchase records, and related product, currency, and app information to validate purchases and provide purchase reporting. StylePort does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, styles, or browsing history, and does not enable advertising identifier collection. Apple handles payment information; StylePort and RevenueCat do not receive your card details.
Deleting local app data does not itself delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. Their handling and retention of that information are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
The direct-download edition does not include RevenueCat. Its support button opens this website, where a separate voluntary contribution can be made through Stripe. Opening the page does not initiate a payment.
App data collection declaration
StylePort’s Apple privacy manifest declares purchase history used for app functionality and purchase analytics. It declares that this data is not linked to you and is not used for tracking. The manifest declares no tracking and no tracking domains.
StylePort does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. Its optional purchase reporting does not include your styles, browsing history, name, email address, or card details and does not create a StylePort account.
App updates for direct downloads
The direct-download edition uses Sparkle to check for and install signed app updates. You can check manually or choose whether to enable automatic checks. Checks run while the StylePort companion app is open, not continuously from the Safari extension. Automatic installation is disabled, so installing an update requires your interaction.
Update checks contact the StylePort update host, and downloads contact the host named in the signed update feed. Those hosts receive ordinary request information, including your IP address and user-agent information identifying the app and updater. Hosting providers may retain ordinary server logs under their own policies.
Sparkle’s optional system profiling is disabled. StylePort does not include your styles, browsing history, or RevenueCat purchase identifiers in update requests. The direct edition requires a signed feed and verifies update archives with its embedded Ed25519 public key before extraction.
The App Store and TestFlight editions use Apple’s update system and do not include Sparkle.
This website
I use Tinylytics to understand visits to the StylePort website and selected link clicks: direct app downloads, TestFlight, the Mac App Store once available, support checkout, email contact, press downloads, homepage buttons, and external resources. Events contain an action name and a fixed label identifying the button, destination, or file. These clicks do not confirm an installation, sent email, or completed payment. Website analytics do not access your styles or browsing history in the StylePort app.
Tinylytics receives the page URL and path, referrer when available, and browser user-agent information. It uses IP addresses to derive rotating, one-way hashes, identify the country, and filter traffic. IP addresses are not stored with visits; Tinylytics says they may remain in its processing queue for up to 12 hours and briefly in proxy access logs.
Tinylytics does not set visitor cookies or use persistent cross-site identifiers. Its analytics service is hosted in Germany, and Cloudflare delivers its script. See how Tinylytics handles visitor data and its privacy policy. This website does not use advertising trackers or marketing cookies.
The website’s appearance follows your device by default. If you choose Light or Dark, it saves that preference in your browser under styleport-appearance; choosing System removes it. If you opt out using Tinylytics’ tiny_ignore setting, Tinylytics also saves a local browser preference to ignore your visits. See Tinylytics’ opt-out instructions.
The website does not currently operate a waitlist or email signup form. If you email support, your email provider and RelayByte’s email provider process the message and address you choose to send.
GitHub Pages hosts this website. GitHub may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, request time, and browser details, under GitHub’s privacy statement.
Optional website support
The “Support StylePort” button on this website opens a Stripe-hosted checkout operated for RelayByte. This website payment is separate from the native app’s Apple and RevenueCat tip jar. Stripe processes the email address, payment and billing information, transaction details, and fraud-prevention data needed to complete the payment. The StylePort website does not receive your full card details.
RelayByte receives the payment record Stripe makes available, including the amount, email address, payment status, and related transaction information. Stripe handles checkout data under its privacy policy. Support is voluntary, is not a charitable donation, and does not purchase a license or unlock product features.
